Accountability:

Works under the supervision of working foreman.

Examples of Work :

Pipe repair , meter reading, meter installation, brush cutting, maintain daily records in pump stations, operate ditch pumps, chain saws, generators , auxiliary standby power equipment, mechanical pipe cutters, hydraulic equipment, tapping machines, electronic pipe locators, air compressors and jackhammers, ditch compactors and all other aspects in the operation of a water and sewer distribution system .

APPLICANT MUST BE IN GOOD PHYSICAL CONDITION

Job Requirements :

Massachusetts Class D driver's license High School diploma or equivalent Minimum of one-year experience working within a construction related field.

Days of Work:

Monday-Friday 7:30 p.m.-4:00 p.m. or as may be amended. Preference will be given to candidates with drinking water licenses or experience in the installation of water and sewer main and/ or services. Starting wage range $20.92 per/hr- $24.56, 40 hours per week, union position. The Employee will be required to work scheduled weekends and holidays on a rotating shift and respond to call outs during non-working hours. The chosen candidate will be required to pass a drug screening, physical and C.O.R.I. check before hiring (all funded by the Town).
