• Beach Job Teaching Surf Lessons WB Surf Camp | Wrightsville Beach, NC Competitive Per-Lesson Pay | Flexible Schedule | Outdoor Job Spend Your Days Teaching Surfing at Wrightsville Beach WB Surf Camp is hiring Surf Instructors who are passionate about the ocean and excited to share surfing with others.

You'll teach surf lessons to participants of all ages, help people gain confidence in the water, and create an unforgettable beach experience. No prior teaching experience is required. We provide full instructor training. Ability to surf is required. This role is ideal for extroverted surfers who enjoy working with people, being outside, and creating a fun, safe learning environment. Instructors may also have the opportunity to train as Stand-Up Paddleboard (SUP) Tour Guides. Why This Job Is Awesome Competitive per-lesson pay Earn excellent tips from satisfied clients Flexible schedule Spend your days on the beach Work with a positive, ocean-loving team Instructor training provided Opportunities for SUP tour guide training Pro-deal opportunities on outdoor gear What You'll Do Teach surf lessons for participants of all ages and skill levels Instruct ocean safety, surf etiquette, paddling technique, and wave awareness Help participants build confidence and have fun learning to surf Set up and break down surfboards and lesson equipment Provide a welcoming, professional experience for participants and families Communicate clearly with participants, parents, and team members Requirements Must be 16+ years old Minimum 5 years of surfing experience Strong swimmer and confident in the ocean CPR and First Aid certification (required before training) Able to lift 50 lbs Pass a 500-meter open ocean swim test Reliable transportation capable of carrying at least three surfboards Strong communication skills and a professional attitude Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check Reliable, punctual team player Preferred Experience Experience working with kids, camps, or coaching Interest in marine biology, environmental science, recreation, or education Familiarity with southeastern NC marine ecosystems Experience with stand-up paddleboarding Environmental education or teaching background About WB Surf Camp WB Surf Camp is a leader in surf instruction and ocean education since 2001.
