JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, implement, and oversee all security policies, protocols, and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and property. Lead and manage the security team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Monitor surveillance systems, access controls, and alarm systems to detect and respond to unusual or suspicious activities. Conduct regular security inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions. Coordinate and respond to emergencies, incidents, and investigations, including theft, accidents, or disturbances. Liaise with law enforcement, fire departments, and other emergency services as needed. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to safety, fire codes, and security. Prepare and maintain detailed incident reports, logs, and other documentation. Support crisis management planning and implement security protocols during events or high-traffic periods.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, security management, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 3--5 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or military service, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Relevant certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP, or First Aid/CPR) are a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong knowledge of security systems, emergency response procedures, and regulatory requirements. Leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a diverse security team. Excellent judgment and decision-making capabilities, especially in high-pressure situations. Effective written and verbal communication skills for reporting and coordination. Proficiency in using surveillance technology, access control systems, and incident management software. High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling confidential information. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
