Job Description
Job Summary Join our team in Naples, FL, a city known for its beautiful beaches, vibrant arts scene, and excellent quality of life. We are seeking experienced TIG welders to perform a wide range of welding tasks on stainless steel and aluminum alloys. This role requires a high degree of precision and an artistic approach to welding. Responsibilities Perform routine to complex manual welds using various process methods and equipment. Work with stainless steel and aluminum alloys in fabricating or repairing parts and products. Execute approved welding techniques to meet engineering specifications. Participate in new product development or work with experimental materials under engineering guidance. Support lean manufacturing concepts and methods for efficient product flow. Read and interpret product and process drawings, procedures, weld symbols, and quality requirements. Adjust processes to achieve product conformance within procedural limits. Assist and train other employees as needed. Perform full set-up and maintenance to ensure quality and repeatability. Maintain a high level of performance while following safety rules and procedures. Document and log all parts accurately and maintain required paperwork. Maintain a high level of welding quality and analyze defects for correction. Implement lean initiatives by identifying areas for improvement. Maintain an organized, clean, and FOD-free work area. Obtain and maintain all required qualifications and certifications. Inspect and process work performed, detecting and correcting defects. Observe all company policies, including safety rules. Qualifications Experience with AWS D17.1, GTAW, and/or TIG welding. Proficiency in welding stainless steel and aluminum, with an artistic approach. Experience with automotive or motorcycle intake manifolds is preferred. Ability to perform continuous GTAW welds over a 6-inch span. Capability to pass a weld test, including 1G stainless and aluminum tests, and 2F fillet tests. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, extreme heat, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
