Job Summary This position is out of the Woodbury CareerForce location. This position will provide career services through employment and training programs working to support and encourage career seekers. The focus will be on eligible career seekers that need to upgrade employment skills or look for new career opportunities, as well as working with employers to fill vacant positions. The Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) is committed to radically increasing economic impacts for individuals and businesses that face systematic barriers to growth. This position assists unemployment insurance applicants, veterans and other job seekers to gain sustainable employment. Staff are provided with the tools and equipment to be successful in a virtual work environment. Please note, the telework policy could change with notice based on business needs. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month and year for each job held. Only applicants whose resumes clearly demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for this position. One (1) year• of experience in a role providing employment and training services, case management, or a similar role as determined by the agency. Applicants that meet the above minimum qualification will be further evaluated on the following: Skill in the development and presentation of workshops for adult career seekers, to be offered virtual and in person. Communication skills to connect career seekers to work force training opportunities to advance skills. Ability to form and grow connections with community partners such as educational institutions, employers and supportive services to assist career seekers in gaining employment. Ability to adapt to changing work priorities and goals. Organizational skills to track expenses using Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Incumbent must maintain valid driver's license and insurance OR have other reliable transportation. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education, social work, human services, counseling or other closely related field as determined by the agency.
