Yard Laborer

Responsibilities Load and unload materials using equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, adhering to safety protocols. Maintain a clean, organized yard by stacking pallets, managing waste, and ensuring safe pathways for all personnel. Support warehouse distribution activities by managing inventory movements, verifying loads, and preparing shipments for delivery. Follow OSHA guidelines and mechanical knowledge standards to ensure a safe working environment for all team members. Collaborate with supervisors on materials handling tasks and report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly. Experience Prior scrapyard experience is highly preferred, especially when it comes to materials handling. Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, using self dumping hoppers Familiarity with hand tools such as grinders, saw zaws etc.
