0 Waunakee, WI Job Details 9 hours ago Qualifications Computer literacy High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Job Summary The Panel Bender Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring the panel bending machine to produce precision sheet metal components according to engineering drawings and quality standards. This role ensures efficient machine operation, accurate part production, and adherence to safety and quality requirements. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate the panel bender machine to form sheet metal parts according to specifications, work orders, and blueprints. Adjust machine settings, tooling, and programs as needed to maintain quality and efficiency. Inspect finished parts using calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools to verify compliance with tolerances. Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of the machine to ensure safe and reliable operation. Read and interpret technical drawings, shop travelers, and job instructions. Record production data, downtime, and quality checks in logs or ERP system. Collaborate with engineering, quality, and other production staff to resolve issues and improve processes. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in accordance with company policies and safety standards. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce waste. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical training in manufacturing or machining preferred. 1-3 years of experience operating CNC panel benders, press brakes, or similar sheet metal forming equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges). Basic computer skills; experience with CNC controls or ERP systems a plus. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time. Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
