Substitute Teacher

Day - to - day service (not necessarily in the same assignment)

Full Day of Service:

$225 JOB SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Superintendent/Principal.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Possession of a valid California's driver's license Possession of a valid California Credential-showing expiration dates Copy of a valid 30-Day Substitute Teaching Credential -showing expiration dates BA on Transcripts-CBEST scores.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Follow lesson plans effectively; responsible for utilization of functional student growth and development by identifying student needs, and refer to appropriate resources. Demonstrate sensitivity to various family and cultural patterns in planning and following classroom activities. Maintain attractiveness and cleanliness of room environment. Work cooperatively with District staff, support personnel, local school staff, and parents to coordinate effective learning activities for students. Supervise pupils in out-of-classroom activities during assigned work-time, and accept responsibility for maintaining behavior standards school-wide. Maintain standards of pupil behavior needed to achieve a desirable learning atmosphere in and out of the classroom. Provide a classroom climate and learning experience that will further the emotional, physical, social, and mental development of the student.

Must attach copy of 30-Day Substitute Teaching Credential or copy of approved Temporary County Certificate issued by ICOE.
