About Pathways Pathways to a Better Life is a growing Wisconsin-based alcohol and drug treatment and recovery center dedicated to helping individuals and families affected by chemical dependency. Through residential detox, adolescent and adult treatment, day treatment, and sober living programs, we believe in treating the whole person — physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. About the Role We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant / Financial Analyst to join our team on a part-time basis. This is a hands-on role that goes beyond simply keeping the books, we are looking for someone who can analyze our financial data and provide meaningful recommendations to help guide the organization forward. What You'll Do Manage day-to-day bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Microsoft Excel Create and send monthly invoices to clients and contracted partners Scan and attach remittances, payments, and receipts in QBO Run and present financial reports for management review Track services provided to support the billing department Monitor contract details, set up services in QBO, and verify prior authorizations are current and extended as needed Negotiate payment plans in coordination with the Financial Manager Handle collections as necessary Analyze financial data and identify trends Provide actionable financial recommendations to leadership Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and grant-related financial reporting as needed Who You Are You are organized, trustworthy, and analytically minded. You do not just report the numbers — you understand what they mean and can clearly communicate financial insights to non-financial staff and leadership. You take ownership of your work and are comfortable operating independently while collaborating effectively with leadership and administrative staff in a part-time capacity. Qualifications Prior accounting or bookkeeping experience is required. Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel is required.
