Job Description

Overview We are seeking a Manual / CNC Machinist. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining both manual and CNC machines in an independent, low volume, short- run manufacturing environment. We offer youth and state apprenticeships We will train the right person. Responsibilities Operate and set up manual machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders to produce high-quality parts according to blueprints and technical drawings. Program, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines including CNC lathes and milling machines using Fanuc controls or similar systems. Read and interpret detailed blueprints and technical specifications to ensure accurate production. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers and bore gauges to verify part dimensions and quality. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other fabrication tools as needed for assembly or modifications. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols. Skills Experience operating both manual machining equipment and CNC machinery. Expertise in reading blueprints, technical drawings. Ability to use precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators. Strong mathematical skills for basic calculations related to machining tolerances and dimensions. Experience with tooling setup, calibration of CNC lathe/milling machines, and troubleshooting machine issues. Knowledge of safety procedures and manufacturing practices.
Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
