Accounting Manager

Position Overview:

The Accounting Manager at Dimplex Thermal Solutions is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, leading the month-end close process, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This role maintains strong internal controls, supports audit activities, and provides financial insights to support business decision-making. The Accounting Manager will supervise AR and AP functions, oversee account reconciliations, support SG&A forecasting, and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies within a manufacturing environment.

Required Skills and Abilities:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Experience in manufacturing or industrial environment preferred. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Managerial Accountant) designation preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw meaningful conclusions. Leadership and team development with effective written and verbal communication across departments. Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications (e.g., ERP systems, BI tools).

Responsibilities:

Month-End Close & Finance Reporting:

Prepare and oversee month end close including journal entries, trial balances, reports, uploads, presentations ensuring financial accuracy and timeliness.

Account Reconciliations and Compliance:

Establish and maintain strong internal controls and accounting processes ensuring policies and procedures are followed. Coordinate and lead internal and external audits and oversee monthly balance sheet reconciliations

Team Leadership:

Supervise AR, AP, and staff accountant, managing workloads and deadlines. Develop team capabilities and ensure high-quality output

Cross-Functional Support :

Partner with Sales, R&D, HR, and Marketing to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Provide insights into financial performance and key business drivers.

Process improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the finance function. Other duties as assigned.
