Activities Assistant

Job Summary Join our team as an Activities Assistant, where your enthusiasm and creativity will bring joy and engagement to our residents. In this role, you will work with our Activites Director to plan, coordinate, and facilitate a variety of recreational activities tailored to the interests and needs of our residents, including those with memory impairments such as Alzheimer's and dementia. Your compassionate approach will foster a lively, inclusive environment that promotes social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being. Duties Develop and implement engaging activity programs that cater to residents' interests, abilities, and health conditions, including memory care and aging issues counseling Coordinate special events and activities that promote socialization and cognitive stimulation Collaborate with caregiving staff to identify individual resident needs and adapt activities accordingly Manage activity schedules efficiently to ensure timely execution of planned events Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity feedback for ongoing program improvement Foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere that encourages residents' participation and enhances their quality of life Skills Experience in event planning, recreational therapy, or senior care within assisted living or nursing home settings is beneficial. Excellent communication skills to engage residents effectively and collaborate with team members Experience working with individuals with disabilities or those requiring specialized memory support is beneficial Knowledge of how to manage multiple activities seamlessly This role is ideal for compassionate person eager to bring energy and purpose to a senior living environment.
