DESCRIPTION A Million Degrees Plot Overview A Million Degrees is a dramaticedy in two acts that explores friendship, sexuality, and young adulthood. About two months after arriving at college for the first time, friends Alsie, Dustin, Cassia, and Mae struggle to navigate their newfound freedom. Alsie has found herself caught in a web of love interests, Dustin copes with dysphoria by being wreckless, Cassia realizes she has been suppressing trauma from her past relationship, and Mae feels the pressures of keeping her current relationship exciting now that it has gone long distance. Older students Emmett and Davina cause further chaos in the world of these younger characters, and French exchange student Ace makes it his mission to get on the nerves of each and every one of them. ALSIE:

18 years old, she/her, college sophomore, strong-willed, finallying to terms with being herself in social settings and desperately wants to feel good enough as she is, outgoing.

CASSIA:

18 years old, she/her, college sophomore, introvert but with a deep love for other old souls, healing from a traumatic sexual experience, learning to see her passions as not lame.

DUSTIN:

20 years old, he/him, transgender and learning to cope with physical dysphoria, college sophomore, adrenaline-seeker in constant need of both physical touch and verbal acknowledgment, has some bad habits that are worsening and has very little motivation to change them.

MAE:

18 years old, she/her, college sophomore, the mother of the friend group, struggling to make her now long-distance relationship work while honoring her own boundaries, doing everything in her power to prevent a mental breakdown as she wants to be successful in school.

ACE:

20 years old, he/him, sophomore exchange student from France, painfully obnoxious (though t's a discrepancy about whether it's a facade), possibly evil, possibly misunderstood.

EMMETT:

22 years old, he/him, overly friendly college senior, incredibly kind to the point w it's unsettling, loves writing and editing and takes literature more seriously than anything (except maybe lust…)

DAVINA:

22 years old, female, reserved, lustful, femme fatale and contains secret feminine rage, alwayses across as slightly judge-y
