Education and Experience Associate's degree equivalent to four (4) years of experience Bachelor's degree equivalent to eight (8) years of experience Community & Family Wellness Back to All Categories Administrative Assistant I This position supports the staff in the Community and Family Wellness Department (CFW). As the first point of contact, the CFW Administrative Assistant I is responsible for greeting clients and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor to ensure that they feel valued and comfortable. In addition to answering general inquires, this position should be knowledgeable about department programs and provide accurate information and referrals. The CFW Administrative Assistant I also provides office support, assistance with purchases, and help with administrative projects. All Tolowa Dee-ni' Nation employees must submit to a background check and abide by all Tribal, federal, and state laws. All employees must comply with Tolowa Dee-ni' Nation drug free workplace policy and will be subject to pre-employment, random, for-cause, and post-accident drug and alcohol testing. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude towards our clients and visitors always Manage daily administrative tasks, including answering phone calls, emails, scheduling, organizing files and documents, and routing mail Manage office supplies and inventory Assist program divisions with event set up and breakdown Ensure department fleet vehicles are clean and schedule routine maintenance as needed Perform basic accounting that includes making purchase orders and administering the petty cash Work collaboratively with other department personnel and ensure work orders are completed Work in a confidential highly responsive relationship with management, staff and clients. Finally, all employees should have the ability to understand and manage citizen confidentiality. Job specific skills and abilities are listed below: Communication skills Problem solving and critical thinking skills Interpersonal skills and teamwork. Ability to set priorities, meet critical deadlines, and review information for accuracy, format, completeness and compliance with the policies and procedures. Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. One year working in a confidential office environment. Valid state issued driver's license and/or the ability to obtain a California or Oregon driver's license. Must be insurable on the Nation's insurance policy.Physical Requirements:
Use hands and arms to operate office or field equipment. Sit more than half the workday. Stand and/or walk less than half the workday. Bend, stretch, twist, crouch and/or reach View electronic monitors for prolonged periods of time. Use hands and arm for repetitive motion tasks consistently for more than one hour at a time. Lift or carry unaided less than 50 pounds. Push or pull using up to moderate force. See and hear with normal acuity.Working Conditions:
