Job Description
Merritt's Boat & Engine Works is seeking a highly organized, customer-focused, and computer-proficient professional to support our Service, Parts, Brokerage, Retail, and Administrative departments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has an interest in the marine industry. Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact for incoming calls, emails, and walk-in customers. Direct customer inquiries to the appropriate department while providing exceptional customer service. Support the Service Department with scheduling, customer communication, and administrative tasks. Assist the Parts Department with inventory management, data entry, and receiving. Help coordinate boat brokerage listings, photography, marketing, surveys, and transaction paperwork. Assist with in-store retail sales, online order fulfillment, inventory, and eCommerce product listings. Provide basic office technology support and coordinate with our outsourced IT provider when needed. Maintain office organization, supplies, and general administrative functions. Qualifications Required Marine industry, marina, dealership, or brokerage experience Excellent customer service and communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities High attention to detail Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows Strong computer and data entry skills Ability to learn new software quickly Professional demeanor and ability to work independently Preferred Experience as a closing marine coordinator Knowledge of boats and marine terminology Experience with Shopify, DockMaster, inventory management systems, and Photoshop (or similar software)
