Full-Time | Must be flexible and available some weekends We are seeking an experienced Collections Representative to join our team in Chino Hills. This position is responsible for managing a high volume of accounts, collecting outstanding balances, negotiating payment arrangements, and assisting with collection and small claims processes. Responsibilities Make outbound collection calls and respond to inbound calls and emails from consumers and commercial customers. Manage and document collection activity for 400-500 accounts monthly . Send collection, Final Demand, and 10-Day Demand letters and maintain accurate account notes. Negotiate settlements and establish and monitor payment plans. Work closely with Sales to resolve delinquent accounts and minimize company losses. Receive and post payments in QuickBooks , ensuring payments are applied correctly. Contact insurance companies to verify claim information. Perform skip tracing using LexisNexis . Prepare and process Mechanic's Liens, Waivers of Lien , and related documentation. Initiate and manage small claims cases, including pre- and post-judgment paperwork. Prepare documentation for court hearings and represent the company in small claims court approximately 2-3 times per month . Negotiate settlements and stipulations before or during court proceedings. Complete post-judgment collection activities, including judgments, liens, debtor examinations, wage garnishments, and bank levies. Attend financial meetings, take notes, and assist with administrative collection duties. Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous collections and/or customer service experience preferred. Strong communication, organization, and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to type at least 45 WPM . Comfortable sitting and working at a computer for extended periods. Flexible schedule with availability to work some weekends. Reliable transportation. Must be able to pass background and drug screening. Bilingual Spanish is a plus, but not required.
