We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Taekwondo Sparring Coach to join our team at our Chino Hills, CA location . This position is specifically focused on developing students' competitive sparring skills and preparing athletes for Taekwondo tournaments. We are looking for someone with a strong competitive background who understands tournament-level sparring and can help students improve their technique, strategy, conditioning, and confidence. Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older Must have a strong background in Taekwondo sparring Must have experience competing in national-level Taekwondo tournaments Must have earned awards, medals, or competitive recognition at Taekwondo tournaments Must have a strong understanding of competitive sparring techniques, strategies, rules, and scoring Must be comfortable coaching students of different ages and skill levels Must be reliable, professional, energetic, and able to motivate athletes Must be available to work Saturdays from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM There is no minimum black belt degree requirement for this position. Competitive sparring experience and tournament accomplishments are our primary qualifications. Responsibilities Lead and assist with Taekwondo sparring training sessions Teach proper sparring techniques, combinations, footwork, timing, distance, defense, and counterattacks Help students develop effective competition strategies Prepare students for local, regional, and national Taekwondo tournaments Conduct drills that improve speed, reaction time, endurance, agility, and overall sparring performance Evaluate individual athletes and provide constructive feedback Help students build confidence and develop a competitive mindset Maintain a positive, disciplined, and motivating training environment Ensure proper safety procedures are followed during all sparring activities Work closely with the Head Instructor and Master to support each student's development Preferred Experience Previous experience coaching Taekwondo sparring is preferred Experience competing successfully at national-level tournaments is required Experience at major regional, national, or international competitions is highly valued Bilingual in English and Korean is a plus, but not required What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys competitive Taekwondo and wants to help develop the next generation of athletes. The ideal candidate should be able to take their own tournament experience and translate it into practical coaching that helps our students become stronger, smarter, and more confident competitors.
