Wage and Benefits:
Armada is looking for Debt Collectors; full-time (40 hours per week); hourly nonexempt. Hourly compensation is minimum wage ($17.33-$17.33 per hour
  • ).
Following a 90-day "new hire" period, other compensation in the form of commissions may be earned for exceeding company-determined thresholds. Benefits available after subject to applicable waiting periods and premium contributions by the Employee include: the company's 401k plan, Employee/Family medical and dental insurance coverage, Paid Time Off (accrual is based upon years of employment, with 4 hours per month earned during the first year of employment and up to 12 hours per month upon 10 years of employment), 10 days of paid holiday time off (earned after three full consecutive calendar months of employment).
Description:
The Debt Collector is responsible for contacting consumers to negotiate payment arrangements on aged or high balance debt, while following federal, state, and client collection guidelines and laws.
Required Qualifications:
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, utilizing proper grammar and telephone etiquette.
  • Proficiency in keyboarding and computer usage.
  • Ability to compute basic math calculations using addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages.
  • Ability to work as a team member with a diverse group of people.
  • Ability to work independently and possess a drive for success.
  • Professional demeanor and presentation.
  • Must be proficient in English.
Bi-lingual (English-Spanish) preferred.
Additional Requirements:
  • Must successfully pass a background check.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Previous experience in customer service, sales, collections or a related role/field.
  • A high school diploma, and two to six months of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of 3rd Party disclosure and FDCPA, state collection laws.
  • Experience or familiarity with HIPAA rules.
