Armada is looking for Debt Collectors; full-time (40 hours per week); hourly nonexempt. Hourly compensation is minimum wage ($17.33-$17.33 per hour- ).
Description:
The Debt Collector is responsible for contacting consumers to negotiate payment arrangements on aged or high balance debt, while following federal, state, and client collection guidelines and laws.Required Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, utilizing proper grammar and telephone etiquette.
- Proficiency in keyboarding and computer usage.
- Ability to compute basic math calculations using addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages.
- Ability to work as a team member with a diverse group of people.
- Ability to work independently and possess a drive for success.
- Professional demeanor and presentation.
- Must be proficient in English.
Additional Requirements:
- Must successfully pass a background check.
Preferred qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service, sales, collections or a related role/field.
- A high school diploma, and two to six months of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of 3rd Party disclosure and FDCPA, state collection laws.
- Experience or familiarity with HIPAA rules.
