Job Description

Job Summary We are a fast‑growing diagnostic laboratory seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle team. If you are detail‑oriented, organized, and passionate about resolving claims and improving reimbursement, we want to hear from you. Duties Submit, import, and export claims between billing systems Perform insurance follow‑up and manage collections to ensure timely reimbursement Review claims for completeness, coding accuracy, and compliance Enter billing information accurately by comparing data with source documents Research and correct missing or inaccurate patient, demographic, or insurance information Verify insurance benefits and eligibility Update and maintain billing demographic data to prevent delays in payment Communicate with clients and patients by phone to resolve billing questions or defects Achieve daily and weekly production goals in a fast‑paced environment Process all billing transactions in an accurate and timely manner Qualifications. Proven experience in medical billing, coding, or healthcare financial operations Strong knowledge of
CPT, ICD
‑9, ICD‑10 coding principles Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance claim workflows, and reimbursement guidelines Understanding of denial management, appeals, and collections processes Ability to interpret clinical documentation and apply correct coding Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
