Job Description

The Accounts Receivable Analyst is a growth-opportunity position to learn and perform all aspects of Accounts Receivable (A/R) function including daily operation and month-end close.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following: Process and apply customer payments to appropriate accounts/invoices in the system. Maintain a daily deposit log and other related documentation. Forward discrepancies to other A/R Analysts. Enter credit/debit memos into the system and print/mail/file daily and monthly invoices and reports. Maintain assigned customer accounts, release credit hold, follow up on past due invoices, and coordinate closely with other departments to resolve open discrepancies. Prepare and analyze month-end reports and calculations including assigned reserves, accruals and gross-to-net (GTN) allowances. Provide support for internal and external audit requests, SOX control compliance, and outside/government data reporting requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Bachelor's degree in Business/Accounting/Finance or related field; or High school diploma or GED and at least one to three years of related A/R experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Attention to detail and strong analytical, communication and teamwork skills. Intermediate Excel knowledge (preferred). Experience with SAP (a plus, but not required). Sunshine Act Amphastar reports payments and other transfers of value to health care providers as required by federal and state transparency laws and implementing regulations. These laws and regulations require Amphastar to provide government agencies with information such as a health care provider's name, address and the type of payments or other value received, generally for public disclosure. Subject to further legal review and statutory or regulatory clarification, which Amphastar intends to pursue, reimbursement of recruiting expenses for licensed physicians may constitute a reportable transfer of value under the federal transparency law commonly known as the Sunshine Act. Therefore, if you are a licensed physician who incurs recruiting expenses as a result of interviewing with Amphastar that we pay or reimburse, your name, address and the amount of payments made currently will be reported to the government.
