Job Description
Accounting & Billing Specialist - Construction/Restoration Company Overview MP Krew Inc. is a growing construction and water damage restoration company serving apartment communities, HOA, Homeowners and property management companies throughout San Diego County. We are looking for a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support our day-to-day financial operations and help maintain strong client relationships. Position Summary The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, following up on past due invoices, tracking company expenses, entering material and project costs, and assisting with overall bookkeeping and administrative accounting tasks. The ideal candidate is professional, proactive, organized, and comfortable communicating with property managers, vendors, and internal staff. Responsibilities Follow up on outstanding and past due invoices via phone and email Maintain accurate accounts receivable records Input and track monthly company expenses Enter project material costs and labor expenses into accounting systems Assist with invoice preparation and payment tracking Reconcile receipts, vendor invoices, and purchase records Organize and maintain financial documents and job cost records Coordinate with management regarding collections and account status Support bookkeeping and administrative accounting functions Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, and property managers Assist with monthly reporting and expense summaries
Qualifications Required:
Minimum two years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting support, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or a similar role. Experience preparing invoices, recording payments, making deposits, following up on outstanding balances, and reconciling bank and credit-card accounts. Proficiency with Housecall Pro and Microsoft Excel/365 apps. Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate financial and customer records. Ability to organize multiple invoices, bills, purchase orders, receipts, and deadlines. Professional written and verbal communication skills when working with customers, property managers, vendors, and subcontractors. Ability to handle confidential company, customer, employee, and financial information responsibly. Dependable attendance, good time management, and the ability to work independently. High school diploma or equivalent.Preferred:
Accounting or bookkeeping experience in construction, restoration, property maintenance, or property management. Experience using Housecall Pro or similar field-service management software. Familiarity with job costing, progress billing, change orders, purchase orders, customer deposits, and subcontractor payments. Experience collecting and maintaining W-9 forms, certificates of insurance, lien releases, and vendor documentation. Experience assisting with payroll, employee timecards, reimbursements, and company credit-card reconciliation. Familiarity with QuickBooks classifying expenses by customer, project, or job. Associate degree, bookkeeping certificate, or coursework in accounting or business administration. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
