Our mission is to empower young people to build resilience, achieve stability, and thrive. We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Billing Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional responsible for managing the billing process to ensure the financial health and sustainability of our vital programmes. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting our organisation's ability to deliver high-quality care and support to the community. Responsibilities As a Billing Specialist, your key duties will include: Preparing, generating, and issuing accurate and timely invoices for services rendered. Processing payments, posting receipts, and reconciling customer accounts to ensure all records are current. Monitoring accounts receivable and actively following up on overdue payments in a professional manner. Investigating and resolving any billing discrepancies or client queries promptly and efficiently. Maintaining and updating client billing information and records within our database. Collaborating with internal departments to ensure the accuracy of billing data and service information. Assisting in the preparation of regular financial reports and statements related to billing and receivables. Upholding confidentiality and handling sensitive financial information with integrity. Qualifications The successful candidate should possess the following skills and experience: Proven experience working as a Billing Specialist or in a similar financial or administrative role. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with MS Excel for data analysis and reporting. Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all work. Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Effective written and verbal communication abilities. Experience with billing software and accounting systems is highly desirable.
