About Us:

PUR Behavioral Health is a growing mental health practice committed to providing compassionate and professional care to our patients. We're currently seeking a Revenue Cycle Specialist who is friendly, organized, and knowledgeable in mental heatlh coding and billing to join our supportive team.

Responsibilities:

Manage revenue cycle functions for an outpatient mental and behavioral health practice, including charge entry, payment posting, and patient billing Accurately code and enter services using CPT and ICD-10 codes for psychotherapy, psychiatric, and behavioral health treatments Submit, track, and follow up on insurance claims with commercial payers, and Medicare; resolve denials and underpayments Generate patient statements, explain insurance benefits and patient responsibility, and collect copays and balances Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and prior authorizations to support accurate billing and timely reimbursement Greet and check in patients with professionalism and empathy; provide a welcoming, supportive front desk experience Manage scheduling, appointment confirmations, phone inquiries, and patient flow to support clinicians and minimize wait times

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (associate's degree preferred) 2+ years of experience in behavioral health billing and coding, preferably in outpatient care Coding certification (CPC, CCS, or equivalent) preferred Experience with provider credentialing and payer enrollment Experience with or familiarity using Valant EHR, behavioral health billing workflows, and payer reporting Experience in a front desk, medical office, or customer service role strongly preferred. Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Empathetic and respectful attitude toward individuals seeking mental health services. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
