The ideal candidate has experience in the construction industry, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and understands the financial and contractual requirements of commercial construction projects. Construction industry experience is required. Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and process accurate monthly project billings, including AIA
  • Manage subcontractor compliance by maintaining certificates of insurance, bonds, lien waivers, W-9s, and other required contract documentation.
  • Research, reconcile, and resolve unbilled costs, billing discrepancies, and contract issues.
  • Monitor project costs and assist with job cost tracking to support project profitability.
  • Prepare, collect, and submit lien waivers for owners, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Manage accounts receivable for assigned projects, including collections and follow-up on outstanding invoices.
  • Maintain organized and accurate project files, billing records, contracts, and financial documentation.
  • Assist with project closeout by ensuring all financial, contractual, and compliance requirements have been completed.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Accounting, Operations, and field personnel to ensure timely and accurate project billing.
  • Provide administrative and financial support throughout the project lifecycle while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve billing processes, documentation, and operational efficiency. Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of construction billing, project accounting, or construction accounting experience required.
  • Experience with AIA billing, retainage, change orders, and lien waivers.
  • Experience managing subcontractor compliance documentation, including certificates of insurance and bonds.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, project billing, and job cost accounting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
