Job Description

Vitreo-Retinal Consultants & Surgeons is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller-ON
SITE-NOT REMOTE
to join our established retina specialty practice. This position is responsible for managing insurance claims, resolving denials, following up on unpaid accounts, and helping ensure accurate and timely reimbursement. We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, and enjoys investigating and resolving insurance and billing issues. Responsibilities
  • Follow up on unpaid, denied, and underpaid claims
  • Research and resolve claim rejections
  • Communicate with insurance carriers regarding claim status
  • Review EOBs and payer correspondence
  • Submit appeals and supporting documentation when appropriate
  • Document account activity in the practice management system
  • Assist patients with billing-related questions
  • Work closely with providers and staff to resolve claim issues
  • Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance Qualifications
  • Medical billing experience required
  • Knowledge of insurance claim processing, denials, and appeals
  • Experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ophthalmology experience is helpful but not required
Pay:
From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
