The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, comfortable working with insurance companies and patient accounts, and committed to providing exceptional customer care. Key Responsibilities Verify orthodontic insurance eligibility, benefits, limitations, and lifetime maximums Prepare accurate insurance estimates and explain coverage clearly to patients and families Submit orthodontic claims, pre-authorizations, narratives, and supporting documentation Post insurance and patient payments accurately Monitor outstanding claims and follow up promptly with insurance companies Review aging reports, identify unpaid balances, and assist with account follow-up Coordinate primary and secondary insurance benefits when applicable Communicate professionally with patients regarding balances, payment plans, and insurance matters Maintain detailed documentation of insurance calls, claim updates, and financial conversations Identify and resolve billing discrepancies, denials, and delayed payments Protect patient privacy and maintain HIPAA compliance Support front-office responsibilities as needed Help develop efficient billing and insurance systems as the practice grows Qualifications Previous dental or orthodontic insurance and billing experience preferred Familiarity with orthodontic procedure codes, claims, and payment schedules is strongly preferred Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational, follow-up, and problem-solving skills Warm, upbeat, and professional communication style Ability to explain insurance and financial information clearly and compassionately Comfortable using dental practice-management software, insurance portals, email, and spreadsheets Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage responsibilities independently A genuine commitment to excellent customer care and teamwork Schedule Part-time position Two to three days per week Specific days and hours may be discussed based on practice needs and candidate availability Why Join Aréte Orthodontics?
