Safety Engineering Laboratories, Inc. is an engineering firm offering fire and safety related consulting, investigation, testing, and research services. The position will be directly working with management and expert witnesses. The ideal candidate would be detail oriented, a good communicator, self-directed and organized.

Requirements:

Preparing Invoices:

Generate draft bills (prebills) for expert witness review, apply requested edits, and produce final invoices for clients.

Reviewing Time and Expenses:

Audit time entries and disbursement records for clarity, accuracy, and proper coding before sending out bills.

Enforcing Guidelines:

Follow client-specific billing rules, including outside counsel guidelines, spending caps, and task-based codes like LEDES.

Managing E-Billing:

Upload invoices through electronic portals, track delivery, and fix any rejected submissions

Resolving Discrepancies:

Answer billing questions and solve disputes from expert witnesses, staff, and clients.
