Whether you prefer full-time or part-time hours, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to seamless medical claims management and support patient financial interactions. Your attention to detail and knowledge of healthcare coding and billing procedures will ensure timely reimbursements and satisfied patients. Responsibilities Prepare, review, and submit medical claims using billing software, EMR (Electronic Medical Records), and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems Ensure accurate coding using CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding standards for proper claim processing Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through medical collection efforts and healthcare claims management strategies Verify patient insurance coverage, process payments, and communicate with health insurance providers to resolve discrepancies Maintain comprehensive medical records, update billing information, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations Collaborate with medical office staff to clarify billing issues and improve overall revenue cycle management Utilize Microsoft Office tools for documentation, reporting, and data analysis related to billing activities Qualifications Proven experience in medical billing, coding, or a related healthcare administrative role Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and health insurance policies Familiarity with billing software, EMR/EHR systems, and Microsoft Office applications Expertise in CPT coding, DRG classification, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding standards, and medical collection procedures Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with patients and insurance companies Understanding of healthcare claims management processes and medical billing regulations Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real difference!
