Direct Hire About the Role A well-established skilled nursing and long-term care organization is seeking an experienced Medicare Billing Specialist to manage Medicare, HMO, and MLTC billing and claims. The ideal candidate has Medicare billing experience in a skilled nursing facility, nursing home, or long-term care setting and understands claims submission, follow-up, denials, and reimbursement. Avalon experience is preferred but not required. Responsibilities Handle Medicare, HMO, and MLTC billing and claims Submit, review, and follow up on claims Research and resolve denied, rejected, and unpaid claims Monitor accounts receivable and outstanding balances Work with payer portals and billing systems Maintain accurate billing documentation Ensure claims meet Medicare and payer requirements Collaborate with the Director of Accounts Receivable and billing team Qualifications Medicare billing experience in skilled nursing, nursing home, or long-term care HMO and/or MLTC billing experience preferred Strong knowledge of Medicare claims and reimbursement Experience with denials and insurance follow-up Healthcare billing or A/R experience Avalon experience is a plus Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Why Apply?
