Project Billing Specialist Onsite –
Columbus, OH Salary Range:
$60,000–$70,000 A growing, project‑driven professional services organization is seeking a Project Billing Specialist to support billing, job costing, and accounting operations. This onsite role partners closely with project leadership and finance to ensure accurate invoicing, budget tracking, and financial reporting across multiple active projects. This position is ideal for someone with hands‑on job costing and project billing experience who thrives in a detail‑oriented, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and process monthly project invoices based on contract terms, job costs, and project progress Monitor and track project budgets, job cost reports, and billing milestones Review contracts and pricing structures to ensure accurate and compliant billing Collaborate with Project Managers and leadership to review project financial performance Analyze billing, labor, and job cost data to support reporting and project decisions Maintain general ledger entries and related support documentation Assist with month-end and year-end close activities Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts Support accounts receivable processes, including billing follow-up and aging review Assist with payroll-related tax filings Communicate proactively regarding billing status, budgets, and job cost variances
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred 2+ years of project-based billing and job costing experience required Experience supporting multi-project environments Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office #
