Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities Prepare and submit medical claims accurately using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and medical coding standards. Review patient records and uploading to Veteran Administrative EMR. Follow up on unpaid or rejected claims promptly, resolving discrepancies efficiently to maximize reimbursement. Maintain detailed records of billing activities, payments, adjustments, and correspondence in compliance with health information management protocols. Protect patient privacy by adhering strictly to healthcare privacy protection guidelines and clinical confidentiality policies. Stay updated on changes in health regulation policies, medical coding standards, and revenue cycle management best practices. Qualifications Proven experience in medical office administration or medical billing roles with familiarity in electronic health records (EHR) or electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting purposes. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with patients, providers, and insurance representatives. Knowledge of health regulation policies related to medical records management and revenue cycle management. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines.
