Medicaid Full Job Description Medical Billing Specialist Location:
Tualatin, OR 97082
Payscale:
$23-25 per hour depends on medical experience and longevity Hire on Incentive MyTeam Medical Staffing seeks to place a Medical Billing Specialist with a minimum of two (2) years of medical billing experience for a specialty medical clinic in SW Portland. This is an onsite position and will not be remote. Medical Billing Specialist must be able to effectively communicate with both patients and co-workers in a professional and respectful manner at all times. This includes but is not limited to demonstrating a positive attitude even on high patient volume days, addressing people with politeness, going above and beyond to assist physicians, treating all people equally, and conducting themselves in a helpful and courteous manner at all times.
REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum two years of recent experience in medical billing, 5 years preferred Must be familiar with Medicare and local Medicaid programs High school diploma or equivalent required Must be willing to work onsite
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Researches all information needed to complete billing process Submits insurance appeals on denied claims for review Reviews overpayments and requests refunds when appropriate Follows-up with insurance companies and ensures claims are paid/processed Resubmits insurance claims that have received no response, are not on file, or have been denied Works with other staff to follow-up on accounts until zero balance Maintains required billing records, reports, files Answers telephone, screens calls, takes messages, and provides billing information Participates in educational activities Maintains strictest confidentiality Covers for other office functions as requested Performs other related duties as assigned Regular attendance and punctuality
Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
