Radiology practice in Dearborn, MI looking to hire an experienced follow up Medical Biller. Minimum 3 years experience is a must specializing in follow up of rejected medical claims with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. Candidate is someone who is organized, can multi task and prioritize workload. Must be a quick learner, independent thinker and has the ability to problem solve on their own as well as be part of a supportive team. Work will be remote 8 am - 4:30pm. Initial training will be in office for the first few weeks 7 am-3:30 pm. Must be local and live in Detroit area within 1 hour drive of Dearborn a must.

Responsibilities include:

Research, appeal, and work rejections of billing claims. Identify, address and resolve errors with insurance carrier. Work and resolve front end claim edits. Resolve any provider issues with third party payers and insurances. Take patient phone calls and resolve patient inquiries pertaining to their account in a friendly and professional manner. Maintain daily quotas of accounts worked. Post payments and balance insurance vouchers.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Be able to problem solve to research and resolve billing discrepancies, appeals and rejections Have good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload. Efficient time management skills a must Self-starter, quick learner, independent thinker Team player mentality. Possess effective and professional communication skills for interaction with insurances, patients and co-workers. Knowledge of working with multi-CPT code billing. Knowledge of medical records, EOB's and 1500 Forms. Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). Experience using billing software a plus. Knowledge of insurances and their processes.

Education/Training/Skills:

Minimum Associates Degree. Medical Billing certification a plus. Must have a home computer or laptop. Salary commensurate with experience. Great benefits package including fully paid healthcare insurance and profit sharing.
