Part-Time Billing & Long-Term Care Insurance Specialist Sharing Hearts Home Care is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Part-Time Billing & Long-Term Care Insurance Specialist to support our private-duty home care operations. This position will be responsible for ensuring client services are billed accurately and on time, invoices are properly processed, payments are tracked, and required documentation is submitted to clients' long-term care insurance companies for reimbursement. Key Responsibilities Complete private-duty home care billing and invoicing on a regular billing cycle. Review caregiver schedules, hours, rates, and service records to ensure billing accuracy. Generate and distribute client invoices. Process and track client payments, including ACH and credit card payments when applicable. Reconcile outstanding invoices and identify past-due accounts. Communicate professionally with clients or responsible parties regarding billing questions or discrepancies. Prepare and submit invoices, care documentation, and other required paperwork to long-term care insurance companies on behalf of clients. Track long-term care insurance submissions to ensure documentation has been received and claims are being processed. Follow up on rejected, incomplete, or delayed submissions and provide any additional documentation requested by the insurance carrier. Maintain organized and accurate records of billing, payments, insurance submissions, and outstanding balances. Work with management and administrative staff to resolve discrepancies involving caregiver hours, rates, services, or documentation. Maintain strict confidentiality of client financial and healthcare information. Qualifications Previous billing, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, medical/home care billing, or insurance experience preferred. Private-duty home care billing experience strongly preferred. Experience working with long-term care insurance claims or reimbursement submissions is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify billing discrepancies. Comfortable working with billing software, spreadsheets, electronic documentation, and insurance portals. Strong organizational and follow-through skills. Professional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and meet recurring billing deadlines. Understanding of HIPAA and confidential client information.
