We are seeking a Revenue Cycle Specialist I who is passionate about problem-solving, delivering outstanding customer service, and driving positive financial outcomes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys investigating claim issues, resolving denials, communicating with payers and patients, and playing a key role in the revenue cycle process.
What You'll Do:
Work accounts receivable to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement Research and resolve claim denials, payment discrepancies, and appeals Contact insurance companies to verify eligibility, benefits, and claim status Answer patient billing inquiries and provide exceptional customer support Assist patients with payment arrangements and account resolution Review and verify patient statements for accuracy Collaborate with internal teams, providers, payers, and patients to resolve billing issues Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and company policies Prioritize multiple tasks while meeting productivity and quality expectations Contribute ideas and solutions that improve processes and support organizational success
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent 1-3 years of medical billing experience Epic EHR Experience Strong communication and customer service skills Experience working with EMR and practice management systems Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Medical Insurance Billing Certificate 5+ years of customer service experience, preferably in healthcare Skills for
Success:
Knowledge of HMO, PPO, Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer guidelines Understanding of CPT, ICD, and HCPCS coding Familiarity with medical terminology and HIPAA requirements Ability to research and resolve complex billing issues Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and teamwork
