Local candidates only, no remote work available. We are hiring an experienced Medical office biller and coder. Minimum of two years medical billing and coding required. Salary based on experience. Perform completion of claims to payers. Submit billing data to the appropriate insurance providers electronically. Process claims, and resolve denials. Achieve maximum reimbursement for services provided. Review and correct claim denials and rejections. Post insurance and patients payments accurately. Conduct audits and reviews. Update and review all accounts to keep records of payments up to date. Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR). Assist with physician credentialing as needed. Cross train to the front desk to fill in as needed. Assist front desk with insurance verification, copays, deductibles, and authorizations as needed. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines. Communicate professionally with insurance companies and patients regarding billing questions. Work with provider to ensure complete and accurate documentation. Excellent problem solving skills. Knowledge of medicare and commercial insurance. Must maintain a warm, polite, and professional attitude toward all patients and staff. Athena EMR experience desired.
