Full Job Description Brief Description:
The Billing Specialist will be responsible for accurate and timely billing, payment posting, account follow up and resolving billing-related issues. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Invoices customers for goods and services
  • Enters invoices into customers billing software such as OpenInvoice and Ariba
  • Monitors billing software daily to ensure invoices are being processed timely
  • Works with Sales Team to ensure timely payment from customers
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and account issues
  • Prepares and distributes customer reports, as requested
  • Prepares and maintains reports related to accounts receivable activities
  • Assist with month-end activities, as needed
  • Provide backup coverage for other billing team members as needed, including assisting with billing tasks, answering questions, and helping maintain workflow continuity during absences or periods of increased workflow
  • Crosstrain on billing functions to support continuity of department operations
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and the ability to learn billing software and other computer systems.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Professional, dependable, and customer service oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with team members
Education and Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Previous billing, accounts receivable, or related experience preferred.
  • Experience working in high-volume environment.
Pay:
$21.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
