The ideal candidate must have strong experience in dental billing, insurance claims, Medicaid, Medicare, pre-authorizations, payment posting, and insurance follow-up. This role is responsible for ensuring claims are submitted accurately, followed through to payment, and that the practice maintains healthy collections and accounts receivable. Responsibilities Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility. Submit and manage dental insurance claims. Submit and track Medicaid and Medicare claims. Process and follow up on pre-authorizations. Review, correct, and resubmit denied or rejected claims. Appeal claim denials when necessary. Post insurance payments, adjustments, and write-offs accurately. Reconcile EOBs and insurance payments. Work insurance aging reports and outstanding claims. Follow up with insurance companies to resolve unpaid or underpaid claims. Maintain accurate patient and insurance records. Assist with patient billing and account inquiries. Ensure maximum reimbursement for services provided. Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of dental billing experience. Experience with commercial dental insurance billing. Experience with Medicaid billing. Experience with Medicare billing. Experience with pre-authorizations and insurance verification. Experience with claim submission, claim follow-up, and appeals. Experience posting insurance payments and managing accounts receivable. Strong understanding of dental insurance processes and CDT codes. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Open Dental software. Bilingual (English/Spanish).
