Our team of Board-Certified Behavior Analysts and Registered Behavior Technicians is committed to empowering individuals to succeed across all areas of their lives, making a meaningful difference every day. Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Insurance and Medicaid Billing Specialist to join our team supporting Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Central Reach , Waystar , and Microsoft Excel , and a strong understanding of insurance and Medicaid billing processes. This role is critical to ensuring accurate, timely claims processing and healthy revenue cycle management for our clinic. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end billing processes for ABA services, including claim submission, tracking, and follow-up Submit and reconcile claims through Central Reach and Waystar Verify client insurance and Medicaid eligibility and benefits Review claims for accuracy prior to submission to minimize denials and rejections Investigate and resolve claim denials, rejections, and underpayments Post insurance and Medicaid payments and reconcile accounts Maintain accurate billing records and generate reports using Microsoft Excel Communicate with insurance payers, Medicaid, and internal staff to resolve billing discrepancies Stay current on payer-specific and Medicaid billing guidelines for ABA/behavioral health services Assist with month-end billing reconciliation and reporting Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other applicable regulations Qualifications 2+ years of experience in medical billing Working knowledge of Medicaid billing requirements and insurance claims processes Strong understanding of CPT codes Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations Preferred Qualifications Experience working directly with Utah Medicaid & Insurance companies Experience with Central Reach and Waystar Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data reconciliation) Familiarity with ABA authorization and utilization review processes Prior experience in a behavioral health or healthcare billing department What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience Health/dental/vision insurance Paid time off / holidays 401(k) program Supportive team environment focused on quality client care Opportunities for professional growth Join us in making a difference by ensuring our patients receive the highest quality care with seamless billing processes.
