Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Billing Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end billing processes, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely account reconciliation, and compliance with financial standards. Your expertise will help streamline our billing operations, support financial accuracy, and enhance customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Oversee daily billing operations Monitoring timely claim submission Resolving & correcting claim denials and claim rejection Ensuring timely payment posting and follow up Maintaining payer compliance Confirm CPT and diagnosis codes are correct. Knowledge of CPT and ICD 10 codes Remain up to date on coding changes Addressing complex billing issues and patient questions Handles patient's complaints Providing regular updates on billing performance and outstanding accounts to the Office Manager Supports staff training Identifies opportunities to improve billing efficiency Review the patient's account and process billing Verify insurance eligibility and benefits. Review patient balance and send a statement if applicable Review and process aging reports Document all billing actions in the patient's chart. Follow up on any outstanding issues with the insurance company or patient. Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with strong knowledge of corporate accounting principles and governmental accounting standards Proficiency in financial software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Workday, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro or similar platforms Familiarity with technical accounting concepts including journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, balance sheet reconciliation, and account analysis Strong numeracy skills with the ability to perform Excel data analysis and work efficiently with spreadsheets Excellent attention to detail for accurate data entry and account reconciliation tasks Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and professionally Experience working with accounts receivable management, payroll management, or non-profit accounting is a plus Strong organizational skills combined with effective communication to support customer service needs and internal teams Join us as a Billing Specialist where your expertise will drive operational excellence!
