Attention to detail Problem-solving Medical billing Medical Billing Certification Manual handling Full Job Description Parkway General Surgeons is seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to work with our AWESOME team of surgeons and staff. Must have knowledge and understanding of the entire billing cycle and the ability to work independently and alongside our staff.

Qualifications:

2+ years of medical billing experience required. Surgical claims billing experience preferred, ICD-10 & CPT coding knowledge highly Preferred, excellent written and oral communication skills, strong organizational and problem solving skills, exceptional attention to detail, ability to learn quickly. ability to obtain referrals, authorizations and collect patient co-pays/deductibles Job descriptions and needs would entail but not limited to :

• Working with healthcare insurance companies for payment and processing of claims.
• Completing the EOPC process (Estimated Out of Pocket Cost) accurately for patient surgical procedures.
• Troubleshooting patient billing inquiry calls and concerns in a timely manner
• Timely posting of patients services/charges and payments/EOBs.
• Responsible for patient balance collections and working the process each month to resolve and collect outstanding balances in a timely manner.
• Assist front office with billing questions on daily basis

Required Education and Skills:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger coordination, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and listen attentively. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. This position is a full time opening ranging between 30-35 hours per week.
