Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Collections Manager to lead our collections team. In this vital role, you will oversee the recovery of outstanding accounts, ensure timely payments, and maintain positive customer relationships. Your expertise in financial concepts, medical billing, and account reconciliation will drive the success of our revenue cycle management efforts. Responsibilities Supervise and motivate the collections team to achieve monthly recovery targets. Manage accounts receivable portfolios, ensuring prompt follow-up on overdue payments. Utilize strong phone etiquette and customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients regarding outstanding balances. Review and analyze account details, including medical billing, CPT coding, ICD-10 codes, and account analysis reports. Negotiate payment arrangements while maintaining positive relationships with customers. Conduct account reconciliation and ensure accuracy in accounting software and financial software systems. Collaborate with other departments such as accounts payable and revenue cycle management to streamline processes. Experience Proven experience in medical collection, accounts receivable, or related financial roles. Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical billing procedures, and CPT coding. Familiarity with accounting principles including debits & credits, account analysis, and account reconciliation. Proficiency in financial software and accounting software used in healthcare or finance industries. Excellent negotiation skills coupled with effective phone etiquette and customer service abilities. Knowledge of ICD-10 coding standards and telemarketing techniques is a plus. Ability to analyze complex accounts using math skills and apply financial concepts accurately.
