Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Import/Export Data Entry Specialist for a direct hire opportunity in Greenville, SC. This role is a strong fit for a logistics, shipping, import/export, or administrative professional who enjoys working with documentation, shipment data, invoices, purchase orders, and internal systems. The Import/Export Data Entry Specialist will play an important role in keeping import records accurate, organized, and up to date throughout the shipment process. This is a Monday through Friday office-based position offering consistent daytime hours, steady work, and the opportunity to join a collaborative team environment where accuracy, communication, and dependability are valued. Key Responsibilities
  • Enter, update, and maintain import and shipment information accurately in internal systems.
  • Review invoices, purchase orders, shipping documents, and import-related records for completeness and accuracy.
  • Track shipments and update internal records throughout the import process.
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies by communicating with internal teams, vendors, freight carriers, and other partners.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical files for import documentation and administrative records.
  • Assist with customs documentation, import administration, general data entry, and office support as needed. Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay:
    $18 to $24 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Job Type:
    Direct hire.
  • Schedule:
    Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Location:
    Greenville, SC. Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Enter and maintain accurate import, shipment, invoice, purchase order, and shipping documentation data.
  • Track shipments and update records throughout the import process.
  • Review documentation, verify accuracy, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with internal departments, vendors, freight carriers, and business partners.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience preferred in data entry, import/export, logistics, shipping, freight forwarding, or administrative support.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy when working with high volumes of data and documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
  • Comfortable handling numbers, records, shipment details, and import-related documentation in a fast-paced office environment. Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with import/export administration, freight forwarding, customs documentation, international shipping, or logistics operations.
  • Familiarity with purchase orders, commercial invoices, shipping documents, carrier communication, and shipment tracking processes.
  • Previous experience supporting transportation, supply chain, distribution, or global trade functions.
