Full Time. Days. No Holidays. Full Benefits. Aspire Rural Health System is seeking an Authorization Specialist. We are looking for those who have a great attitude to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals who are constantly striving to provide the highest quality of services for our patients.
REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent required MA preferred Previous healthcare, medical office, insurance verification, referral, scheduling, or prior authorization experience preferred Knowledge of medical terminology and health insurance requirements preferred Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Experience with electronic medical records and insurance payer portals preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for managing insurance verification, prior authorizations, and referrals for primary care and specialty physician offices. This position works closely with providers, clinical staff, scheduling teams, insurance companies, patients, and outside healthcare organizations to ensure patients receive timely access to needed services.
