Job Description Summary ‎ The Eligibility Authorization Specialist obtains benefit verification and pre-authorization for outpatient imaging services as specified based on insurance carrier requirements for PET, MRI, CT and Nuclear Imaging (High-Tech Imaging Services). S/he reviews daily worklists and schedules and verifies all information needed to obtain authorization is in system. S/he coordinates with external vendors to expedite obtaining Eligibility, Benefit and Authorizations, as well as directly processing authorizations as needed. S/he communicates authorization results with insurance carrier, physician office, billing office and patient to ensure payment is made timely for the service provided. Full Time:
Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm 1777 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, FL This role is required to be on site in Port Charlotte, FL but will be transitioning to fully remote before the end of the year Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Pre-authorizations done timely and accurately Coordinates effective with all parties Company has not lost money due to lack of pre-authorization and non-payment Understand carrier specific guidelines and determines which patients will require pre-authorization
