Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Executive Assistant for a contract/temporary opportunity supporting the Executive Office of a mission-driven public sector organization focused on affordable housing, housing stability, and community impact in Los Angeles County. This Executive Assistant role is ideal for a highly organized, discreet, and proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment supporting senior leadership. You will serve as a trusted partner to the Executive Team, helping manage schedules, communications, stakeholder coordination, meeting preparation, and strategic administrative priorities. Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level executive support, including calendar management, meeting coordination, travel planning, email monitoring, and follow-up tracking.
- Prepare, edit, organize, and proofread correspondence, briefings, reports, presentations, agendas, meeting notes, and talking points.
- Coordinate meetings and events with internal teams, public officials, partner agencies, board members, vendors, and community stakeholders.
- Serve as a professional liaison between the Executive Office, internal departments, external partners, and the public.
- Support administrative operations, including filing systems, document management, expense reports, invoices, records, and special projects.
- Manage multi-step projects by tracking deadlines, deliverables, dependencies, action items, and leadership updates. Compensation and Benefits
Pay:
$25 to $30 per hour.- Job type: Contract/Temporary.
Location:
Hollywood, CA.- Work arrangement: Hybrid, Los Angeles, CA area, with approximately 90% work-from-home. Required Qualifications and Skills
- Provide executive-level administrative support to the Executive Team and Executive Office.
- Manage complex calendars, meeting logistics, correspondence, action items, and stakeholder communications.
- Support strategic initiatives, cross-functional projects, public-facing engagements, and executive briefings.
- Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information, executive communications, and high-priority matters.
- Associate degree from an accredited institution required.
- 3+ years of experience providing executive-level support, preferably to an Executive Director, C-suite leader, senior government official, or similar executive leader.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Outlook calendar, scheduling tools, and document management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including drafting, editing, proofreading, and preparing professional correspondence.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines, and urgent requests.
- Demonstrated discretion, professionalism, integrity, attention to detail, and sound judgment.
- Ability to build positive working relationships with executives, staff, public officials, nonprofit partners, community advocates, and external stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of executive-level administrative support experience.
- Experience supporting C-suite executives or senior leadership in a government agency, nonprofit, legal, policy, or public sector environment.
- Exposure to intergovernmental relations, legislative environments, public sector initiatives, or community-based programs.
- Experience coordinating high-profile meetings, public appearances, stakeholder engagements, conferences, or speaking events.
- Experience working in a start-up, newly formed agency, or scaling organization.
- Commitment to housing justice, racial equity, public service, and mission-driven work.
