We partner with filmmakers, financiers, exhibitors, and global platforms to bring commercially compelling films to market. Rooted in the creative heart of Santa Monica, our team operates at the intersection of art, commerce, and execution. We move fast, stay lean, and release films audiences want to see. About the Role Onsite, 4 days/week 9am-5pm, Santa Monica, CA | Work from Home Fridays We are looking for an experienced, proactive Executive Assistant to provide support to executive leadership at Vertical Entertainment. This is a visible, fast-paced role inside a company that releases a high volume of films each year, meaning every week brings new moving pieces, competing priorities, and time-sensitive decisions. The right candidate anticipates needs before they arise, moves with the urgency our business demands, and handles sensitive information with absolute discretion. Primary Responsibilities Own and manage complex, multi-calendar scheduling for senior executives, including internal and meetings and industry events Proactively identify and resolve scheduling conflicts; protect executive time from low-priority requests Ensure executives are prepared for every meeting (e.g. with participants, technology and agenda) Arrange domestic and international travel including flights, hotels, ground transportation Build detailed itineraries for film festivals (Sundance, Cannes, AFM, SXSW, Tribeca, Toronto) and industry events Anticipate travel logistics issues and maintain contingency plans during time-sensitive trips Serve as a professional point of contact for filmmakers, agents, attorneys, platform partners, and exhibitors for Vertical execs Handle all internal and external communications with clarity, tact, and confidentiality Process and reconcile executive expense reports accurately and on time Oversee office operations and facilities, ensuring the space runs smoothly and is well-stocked day to day Support other Vertical teams on an as needed project basis Plan and execute in-office programming and events such as team meals, holiday gatherings, and spontaneous culture moments Assist with onboarding coordination, manage and create team events, volunteer days, and special projects as directed Personal support requests as needed Who You Are Minimum 2 years as an Executive Assistant supporting executives (entertainment industry experience strongly preferred) Deeply organized, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities without dropping anything A clear, professional communicator, both written and verbal,who represents leadership well at every touchpoint Discreet and trustworthy; you handle confidential information with the care it deserves Anticipatory rather than reactive; you see what's coming and prepare for it Proficient in Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs) and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Comfortable with technology and AI tools (e.g. Claude) Thrives in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment where no two weeks look the same Gets energy from creating an inviting and inclusive team environment Bachelor's degree preferred, but experience and track record take precedence Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States Why Join Vertical?
