Job Description
Our law firm is seeking a full-time litigation clerk that is reliable and professional. Our practice offers experienced legal counsel and strategic representation to small and medium size businesses and high net worth individuals throughout Southern California. The core practice areas include business litigation and transactions, employment litigation defense, real estate law and litigation, investment litigation, auto dealership law and estate planning. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and efficient. We are seeking someone that is dependable, self- motivated and has the ability to take initiative. We need a team player that pays great attention to detail and willing to take direction. This position includes paid sick and vacation days. You will also be eligible (after a short waiting period) to participate in our health, dental, and vision plans, our life and disability insurance plan, and our 401(k)-retirement plan. 8:00 am- 5:00 pm Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to: Scan documents daily, in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner Correspond with attorneys daily to ensure timely delivery of pertinent documents and data Electronically and physically file documents in our document database and file room Create photocopies and reproductions of records and legal documentation Assist paralegals and attorneys quickly locate files using our alphanumeric filing system Create labels for all files stored at firm Prepare pertinent documents and binders for trial, arbitration, and mediation Assist all attorneys in managing their individual print, copy, and data projects for each separate matter Deliver equipment, binders, documents and data to local courthouses during trial, arbitration, and mediation Courier documentation to/ from the firm on a weekly basis Maintain offsite and local storage inventory, order file retrieval/ destruction Maintain/ monitor firm copy room daily; maintain supplies, paper, printer, etc. Cover receptionist duties for one hour daily, or longer if receptionist needs additional coverage Receptionist duties include but are not limited to: Mail Validate clients parking Answer phones Greet clients Serve/brew coffee, tea, soda, or water Prepare and clean conference rooms before and after meetings Qualifications include but are not limited to: Proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Must have a driver's license Must have a vehicle Must be able to lift heavy boxes overhead and off the ground
