Job Description
Thermal Printer Operator NovaVision, a Bowling Green technology company, has an immediate opening for a full-time Thermal Printer Operator. This primary function of this position is to set up and operate thermal printers used for printing holographic labels, pressure-sensitive labels or cards and tags. The candidate will be able to set up and run product to specifications, make routine adjustments and troubleshoot minor issues once trained without assistance, validate quantity, packaging and any other necessary order details. The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience: High school degree or GED equivalent. Knowledge of labels, printing. Ability to learn to operate additional printer types including ink-jet, scanners or other typical labels handling and finishing equipment. Familiarity with Quality Management systems such as ISO 9001 and use of quality control tools typical with printing. Basic math skills to make adjustments, verify order counts, etc. Good Problem Solving and troubleshooting ability. Good Verbal and Written Communication with a focus on documenting daily production, QC or ISO procedural related information. Computer proficient with to access e-mail, update schedules, job details and to make production notes. Perform routine preventive maintenance and maintain a neat, orderly and safe work station. This will be a 1st shift position. Full-time employment with benefits and bonus. Total compensation will be from entry level of $17/hour or commensurate with your experience. Benefits include health care, paid vacation, retirement savings, & holidays.
