Job Summary We are seeking a Part-Time/Experienced Legal Secretary/Paralegal (Min of 5 years Exp) to support our busy law office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal administrative functions, possess excellent organizational and research skills, and be familiar with a variety of legal practice areas including litigation. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with attorneys on diverse cases, providing essential administrative and legal support to ensure efficient case management and document preparation. Duties Manage and organize legal documents using document management systems such CLIO and LexisNexis. Clio experience would be ideal and Spanish Fluency and Communication with clients. Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail. Review and proofread legal documents for accuracy and consistency. Assist attorneys with case preparation through document review and data entry. Maintain case files and ensure all documentation complies with applicable laws and regulations. Support project management tasks related to ongoing cases or legal initiatives. Transcribe dictations and prepare reports as needed. Provide executive administrative support including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, handling phone inquiries with professional etiquette, and organizing meetings. Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, photocopying, and maintaining organized filing systems. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of legal tasks while adhering to deadlines. Requirements Bilingual ( Spanish or Portuguese ) Proven experience as a paralegal or legal secretary in a law office setting. Familiarity with a wide range of practice areas including litigation, criminal law, municipal court matters, and personal injury law. Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis. Experience with legal case management software like
CLIO. CLIO
experience is preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently. Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence. Attention to detail in proofreading and document review processes. Ability to perform legal research accurately and efficiently across various practice areas. Effective communication skills with professional phone etiquette. Knowledge of clerical procedures including filing systems and data entry accuracy. Ability to work independently while supporting team objectives in a fast-paced environment.
